Going Home

Monday, Chris, Tracy, Kevin and I got a rental car (which Enterprise later told Chris he returned it damaged - waiting to hear back about that) to Cincinnati for our return flight home. Along the way, we stopped and toured a church in Cincinnati that used a lot of the architectural features of Paris' Notre Dame. I had been to the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on my family trip in December and the cathedral had caught fire and burned only a month or so before the Derby losing its spire and most of its roof. While this cathedral in Cincinnati is a much smaller scale and not an exact replica, it was still great touring it.

And after touring the cathedral, we went to the casino where I lost more money.

Dropping the car off at the rental office at the airport was a hassle as we got lost and drove in circles for a bit (must have been when Chris damaged the rental car); but we did, amazingly, make it to our flight in time although Kevin and I got turned away at security because our tickets would not scan from our phones so we had to go all the way back to the check-in desk to get printed tickets.

We did eventually make it all the way back home safe and sound and ready for the next adventure. Stay tuned.
