Derby145 and the Day After

Sunday, the day after the Kentucky Derby, is never a rest day for us while we are still in Louisville. We spent Sunday doing brunch at Bristol, touring the Old Forester Distillery downtown Louisville, drinks at the Galt House on Fourth Street and dinner at Captain's Quarters. It was a busy day for all of us.

These next photos are from our tour of Old Forester Bourbon Distillery in downtown Louisville.

After Old Forester, we walked around the corner and under the bridge to another of our favorite haunts, The Troll Pub, where we had more bourbon and played Jinga with oversized and wet wooden blocks. Kelly lost.

After leaving Troll Pub, Tracy wanted to go to Osheas, but they were closed so we walked down to Fourth Street and found the bar at Galt House with its coy fish water bar, caged birds and red carpet walk and I mistakenly called the winner of the Kentucky Derby "Country Whore" in the elevator and we all laughed and laughed with the stranger that was in the elevator with us. It was actually "Country House".

Then we wrapped up the day with dinner at Captain's Quarters - a Sunday late afternoon favorite of ours.
